Sophia gives us an insight into life with a pair of Moustache eBikes.
“We regard these purchases as one of the most worthwhile investments in ourselves that we have made. We enjoy them for recreation, and we enjoy them as an active mode of transport that surprisingly brings its own immeasurable fitness benefits. What’s not to like!”
Cycling has always been a passion of mine and that has included cycling from John O’Groats to Lands End.
The idea of an eBike never really appealed to me because I saw it as cheating.
I was also of the mistaken view that only analogue push bikes were the real thing.
How wrong I was.
I started to reconsider my views hearing about the fun people were having on eBikes, as well as being a useful mode of transport.
I came across Fully Charged when searching on YouTube for information on eBikes.
I contacted them, found out where they were located, and walked into their store near London Bridge in late 2019, just before lockdown.
I purchased two bikes, a Moustache Samedi 27 Xroad 2 for my husband, Clyde Morris, and a Moustache 27 FS 7 for myself. The rest as they say is history.
The bikes are wonderful. They are robust and highly responsive on the road and this gives us both a feeling of safety when navigating the roads in London.
They are also so much fun and with the development of cycling infrastructure in London which has been somewhat accelerated because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The eBikes have given us a feeling of complete freedom exploring areas of London and going off the beaten track and exploring areas that we had no idea existed.
Importantly for us, we have been able to get out and get to and from places, arriving as fresh as when we left through the assistance of our eBikes.
We regard these purchases as one of the most worthwhile investments in ourselves that we have made. We enjoy them for recreation, and we enjoy them as an active mode of transport that surprisingly brings its own immeasurable fitness benefits. What’s not to like!
