Innovative Design and Folding Mechanism
At the heart of the Afternoon Pro is its proprietary frame equipped with patented auto-locking hinges, allowing users to unfold the bike in under five seconds. This design ensures that no part of the frame contacts other components during folding, preventing scratches and maintaining the bike’s sleek appearance. Additionally, the fork features thru-axle dropouts, facilitating easier wheel removal and contributing to a cleaner, more refined look.
Automatic Hubgear and Carbon Belt Drive
The Afternoon Pro is powered by a Bafang rear hub motor with an automatic dual-speed hubgear, which intuitively shifts gears to match the rider’s needs, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. This system is complemented by a Gates Carbon Belt Drive, offering a smooth, clean and quiet ride with lower maintenance than traditional chain drives.
Enhanced Battery Integration and Security
Eovolt has cleverly integrated the battery within the seat post, with an ABUS lock ensuring that it remains securely in place. The battery power from the seatpost is delivered via a patented magnetic connector positioned at the top of the frame for quick and secure attachment. For added security, the frame includes a concealed compartment designed to house tracking devices like Apple AirTags, enabling owners to locate their bike if necessary.
User-Friendly Features
The Afternoon Pro boasts an asymmetric centre kickstand that remains hidden beneath the bike, preserving its streamlined aesthetic. This design allows the bike to stand in its folded position without the battery, reducing weight when lifting it into vehicles.
Both front and rear Litemove lights are powered by the main battery and feature automatic activation in low-light conditions, such as entering tunnels or during dusk. This can be overridden for manual light control. Additionally, the handlebars incorporate an SP Connect mount as standard, providing a secure and convenient spot for smartphones – particularly useful for navigation in the city.
