The Moustache Lundi 20 Cargo Bike – What’s New?

The Lundi 20 Cargo from Moustache is back – and while it may look familiar at first glance, this is much more than a refresh. The frame has been redesigned. The riding experience has been dialled in. And under the surface, it’s been made more accessible, more stable, and more practical than before.

We visited Moustache’s HQ in the Vosges region of France to see the final prototype for ourselves, and to meet their Head of Cargo Product Design, who walked us through what’s changed and why.

Availability begins early May – but here’s everything you need to know now.

Reworked from the frame up

The new Lundi 20 has been built around five key riding scenarios: getting on and off, starting to ride, staying comfortable, carrying passengers or cargo, and stopping securely.

To make all of those easier, the frame has been fully re-engineered, with a lower, wider step-through that’s easier to mount – especially if you’re carrying little ones or gear. It now uses triple-cavity tubing for improved stiffness and stability without unnecessary weight.

There’s a new Suntour suspension fork rated for cargo use, and revised front-end geometry that improves low-speed handling – making starts and tight turns feel more natural, especially when fully loaded.

More comfort, less fuss

As a longtail cargo bike, the Lundi 20 is built to adapt. It can carry up to two children, with modular seating and footrests that grow with your family. You can clip in padded seats, child restraints, or swap to a clean bench setup as needed. There’s also a new split pannier system that works neatly around the rear rack setup – avoiding clashes with baby seats.

The pedal-activated kickstand has been updated too. It now locks into place and makes it easier to load or unload without having to step around the bike. The telescopic seatpost has extra travel, and a revised seat clamp prevents cable interference, making it quicker to switch between riders.

You can even store the Lundi upright against a wall – even with two child seats installed.

Bosch Smart System, now on board

The latest Lundi 20 comes with the Bosch Cargo Line Smart System, offering up to 400% pedal assistance, a new 545Wh battery (with 800Wh optional upgrade), and full app integration via Bosch Flow. That means over-the-air updates, digital locking, route tracking, and custom ride modes – all managed through your phone or the Purion 200 controller.

The Purion 200 also charges your device on the go and integrates with popular smartphone mounts if you prefer your own display setup.

Security’s been upgraded too. The Lundi now includes a built-in front wheel lock, with the option to add the Bosch Connect Module for GPS tracking and movement alerts.

Designed for daily life

The Lundi 20 is intended to fit into your everyday routine – from school runs and shopping to weekend adventures and local errands. It’s compact for a cargo bike, with a relaxed upright posture and a quiet ride feel. The classic Moustache handlebar returns, with cable routing through the stem to keep everything tidy and protected when loading or storing.

It’s also one of the most adaptable bikes in its category – with a wide range of accessories to suit both cargo and passenger transport, all designed to click in and out as needed.

And for riders who want a bit of expression, Moustache now includes protective graphics packs – with the option to personalise your Lundi with family-friendly designs or more minimalist, geometric patterns.

Pricing and configurations

The Lundi 20 is available in two versions:

  • Lundi 20.3: Chain + derailleur transmission

  • Lundi 20.5: Gates belt + Enviolo hub gearing (low maintenance)

Both models feature cargo-rated components and high-spec brakes, and come in at competitive prices within the premium eCargo space – especially considering the quality of the frame and equipment.

When can I get one?

Moustache will begin delivering the Lundi 20 to dealers in early May 2025. Pre-orders are open now, and at Fully Charged, we’ll be one of the first to receive stock – so if you’re interested, drop us a line or book a test ride as soon as availability opens.
